Inclusion Empowerment Center (IEC) Nepal is going to start a Computer training Center for the blind in Pokhara from August 2010.
In an email, An executive director of the Inclusion Empowerment Center (IEC) Nepal and a blind social entrepreneur Mr. Khom Raj Sharma of Myagdi wrote, “Inclusion Empowerment Center (IEC) is going to setup a First Linux based Computer Training Center for the Blind in Pokhara from August 2010. Now they are busy in preparing Ubuntu based Curriculum for the training”.
Certainly its a good news for disable people, especially for blind people. Best of luck for the success of the Program and hope this opportunity will be utilized by those targeted groups properly.
Info: The Inclusion Empowerment Center (IEC) Nepal is a nonprofit, nonpolitical and nongovernmental organization founded in 2009 by a group of experienced, committed and enthusiastic blind and social entrepreneurs with disability. The IEC Nepal consists of an executive board of 9 members elected by general assembly held in every three years. The organization is legally registered in Kaski district administration office and affiliated to the social welfare council of Nepal.
