One popular Nepali News Web Portal Nagariknews.com was down. It might have down because of heavy traffic on site. But officially no one had said anything about this.
After the death of former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, website were unable to respond the huge amount of server request from all around the world. Servers were busy and some news portal were down.
NagarikNews says its down for maintenance but I don’t think so. Might be server was unable to handle huge amount of request and crashed down. 
Not Only NagarikNews but NepalNews was also down because of excessive traffic on website. NepalNews says, “Due to excessive load on the database, a temporary page has been set up. We apologize for the inconvenience”. Though it has moved to temporary server, but still users are facing difficulty.
Update: NagarikNews was up Now but still users are facing difficulty.
