FOSS Nepal won the Software Freedom Day 2009 Competition

According to Software Freedom Day website, FOSS Nepal has won this competition once again. This is hattrick of FOSS Nepal. In the website, SFD wrote, "The competition is largely based around the best Software Freedom Day events from around the world! Teams had to prepare and submit an entry and in 2009 we received some amazing submissions. Below are both the top 3 winners as well as some highly commended entries. All these entries represent incredible efforts to take Software Freedom to the general public. Software Freedom International thanks all participants for their efforts."

FOSS Nepal

Nepal organized another incredible Software Freedom Day in 2009. The event was full of innovation ideas like FOSS Solidarity Candle light vigil, Live Tux, Open Art and signature campaign. The event venue was very nice and relaxing with indoor and outdoor area that cope with both presentations and participant interaction purpose. With involvement of Government, communities, universities and companies, FOSS Nepal did an excellent job in bringing Software Freedom to different segments. Their report is very detailed and complete as well. Well done again to the FOSS Nepal team!
