BumpTop , a company specializing in creating 3D desktop interfaces, announced it was officially acquired by Google.
According to the website TechCrunch , rumors of the purchase began to appear in Twitter messages published in the Canadian Extreme Venture Partners, which were soon erased from the microblog. On Sunday, the company page now display a statement informing users about their new situation.
"We are pleased to announce that we were acquired by Google. This means that our software will no longer be sold. Moreover, there is no scheduled updates, "says a statement on the website of BumpTop.
The statement also says that the free version of their program will be available to users until the end of the week.
