Gionee Launches S5.5 Android Smartphone in Nepal

Gionee, the Chinese phone maker launched Gionee Elife S5.5 -- the world's slimmest smartphone in Nepal on Friday.

The Gionee S5.5 has an Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A7 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16Gb of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front facing 95° wide angle camera. It packs a 2300mAh battery which can deliver up to 27 hours of talktime on 2G, 11 hours of talktime on 3G networks respectively and 490 hours of standby time. The world's slimmest smartphone comes with dimensions 145.1X70.2X5.55mm.

The Gionee S5.5 is priced at Rs 36,525 (NRS), sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED, FHD 1920*1080 display, powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS (Kitkat OTA is available). It comes with a metal body, and is available in two colors.
